DI Women’s Team
ORSU Women’s Division I Rugby Team in Portland Oregon
ORSU Women+ compete in the PNRFU Division 1 and Division 2 Hybrid league with games against Seattle, The Mudhens, and Tacoma.
Women’s Rugby at ORSU is alive and growing fast! The team aims to coach and grow players of all levels. Looking to become an elite player and compete at the D1 level? Want to be more of a social player and play a game of rugby on Saturdays? You can do either with ORSU! We’re proud to be one of the only women’s programs in the Northwest who can offer multiple sides for players looking to play rugby at any level.
Come out for a practice and learn more about this great game! All you need for practice is some cleats (soccer cleats work great!), athletic clothes, and eventually a mouth guard.
15’s Head Coach Bui Baravilala
Bui played in the 2014 USA Eagles World Cup squad and in the 2014 Sevens Series and captained for Team USA in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Bui has extensive coaching experience, former head coach for the PNW Senior Selects Womxn and current head coach at Reed College.
15’s Assistant Coach Toni Fujiwara
Toni has been a Jester since 1997 (!!!) as a player, club officer, corporate board member, and now coach (again!). After nearly 2 decades focused on growing youth rugby all across the West, she’s excited to be back to her roots with ORSU
7’s Head Coach Kailyn Teel
Kailyn coaches the UofO Dirty Ducks as well as ORSU 7s.
We are so grateful to have these amazing and powerful coaches on our team as we rebuild elite women’s rugby in Oregon
